Recently bought this bow at 50lb for my wife, who is quite new to archery (~8 weeks). She has been practising hard with a Topoint until now, which has been great for its adjustability while she builds her muscles and learns the correct technique. Having got reasonably consistent I surprised her with the Eva Shockey for our anniversary after Chris set it up nicely in the shop (38lb on performance mode with a Truglo drop away rest and Truglo Carbon Hybrid 5 pin sight). My wife thinks it looks and feels great but the real proof was when she went to the club and shot it. It is very fast and accurate. Previously she had never shot above 320 out of 400 for an ABA round. Her first round with the Eva Shockey she shot 374! I was amazed. I really did not know she could shoot so well. The bow has given her a whole new enthusiasm for the sport. Previously she was having to aim well above the targets on the long shots, now she is comfortably on pin at maximum. We have not even got lightweight arrows for her yet. That will be the next gamechanger for IFA.
